BB Calendar privacy policy

BB Calendar is an internal tool used by the members of Lean Software Production. It runs on Lean Software Production’s own BB server and helps us find meeting times that work for several of us at once. It is not offered to the public.

What BB Calendar reads from Google

When you connect your Google account, BB Calendar asks Google for two things:

  • Your email address, so it can match your Google account to your entry in our team directory.
  • Your free/busy information: the start and end times of the periods when your primary calendar shows you as busy.

It does not read event titles, descriptions, locations, attendees or any other calendar details. It does not read your email, contacts or files.

What BB Calendar does with it

BB Calendar uses your busy times only to suggest meeting times to members of Lean Software Production. It asks Google for them when someone searches for a free time, and does not keep them afterwards.

To keep working without asking you to sign in again, BB Calendar stores the sign-in token Google gives it, encrypted, on Lean Software Production’s BB server. It stores your Google email address alongside it.

BB Calendar does not sell, share or transfer your information to anyone, and does not use it for advertising or for training AI models.

BB Calendar’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time:

  • Remove “BB Calendar” from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Or run bb calendar disconnect google <your email> in BB, which deletes the stored token.
